In the Library...

Friday morning and a trip to the library turned out to be very interesting.  I was very surprised to find the "curriculum lab" section which I had never seen before. It was interesting to find that it is so small compared to so many other sections Saint Peters Library offers. Going over the different databases and what EBSCO offers and how to find articles was actually not new at all to me.  Starting my fourth year as a psych major me and EBSCO are buddies and go waaaaay back in the day.  Sometimes he can be a bit of a blabber mouth with so many articles but he is helpful when it comes to citing and other tools.  My favorite aspect of EBSCO is the e-mail option which is great for days when there's no time to read a full article.  The best part of the visit is finding out so many great resources on the online database for teaching and elementary school lessons.  Only tapping into psych articles all the time has left me blind on what else EBSCO had.  It was definitely fun and helpful looking into the k-12 tab of education databases!

o-n-o-m-a-t-o-p-o-e-i-a

Yep. That long word. My book is filled with it! It is fun and very catchy.  Reading a book to an audience allows whoever is listening to chip in and make the noise. CLICKETY-CLACK! tickety-tack... that's the train, and that is the ant, both in the railroad track. For the wordle to give a good visual on what the book is about I had to rewrite the onomatopoeia a few times so it looked bigger.  The reason behind this was because the onomatopoeia words capture the essence of the book.  It gives it a whimsical and imagination-filled base to a cute story. A story about an ant and Jack. =]
