The Thoughts

Finishing and posting my Glog was realllllyyy great! I'm glad I got it finished and able to post it. The wordle was very fun.  I had to tweak it and add a few words such as the onomatopeia of the book, the characters, and key words. Overall it looks really great so far!! Yay!

Glogging

Creating my first Glog was an interesting experience.  I showed my mother and she loooooved the idea of it.  She said she wished it was created before because as a child I hated cutting all the pictures for the board.  I googled images and videos themed around the book.  I was able to find many pictures and videos such as the author interview.  I also added links about ants and trains.  I did my questions based on the core standards and also on Bloom's taxonomy.  I added onomatopeia and pictures that also themed around the book. It was fun!

Glogging!

First time using the Glogstter and it was pretty fun.  It's a bit tricky getting the images and making sure everything looks nice and accordingly to the book.  I wish I had gotten more images and more texts on it, like trains and ants.  Hopefully next week I will be able to post the link to the audiofile for the book which is pretty cute.  Also I'll include some of the repeated onomatopeia the books uses.  I was able to decorate and make the glog matching the whimsical feel of the book, like the funny illustrations.  I did get the image of the cover of the book which is really adorable. Hopefully next week will be more productive... Check out the picture!!

First Computer Lab Day

First day on the computer lab I'm hoping to learn about blogs and how to use them.  I see a lot of teachers nowadays have their own and I find it really cool and hip that teachers also have it.  I think it is a great way to communicate and get different ideas out there sharing lessons and experiences.  I'm interested to know what this whole Glog thing is all about, it sounds somewhat strange.  I've done a Wordle before and it is actually pretty fun choosing fonts and the words themselves.  Being in the computer so early in the morning and at school is a lot different and better than just sitting in a regular class.  Most college computer classes I've taken were for Psych about statistics or how to design experiements; productive, but boring. But oh that's that, hopefully it is fun!
